Publication Guidelines

Publication Guidelines

The Eagle Eye’s Publication Guidelines: We welcome submissions from writers, investigators, analysts, commentators, and contributors of all backgrounds who have something serious and worthwhile to offer. We publish original work grounded in truth, conviction, and responsibility, and we aim to help strong ideas reach their best possible form.

What We Publish

We publish a wide range of content in all formats, including written, video, audio, and print, such as:

  • Investigative journalism
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Commentary and opinion
  • Interviews, debates, and recorded discussions
  • Essays, research, and long-form work
  • Concept-driven submissions developed in collaboration with our editorial team

In some cases, a contributor may submit a concept rather than a finished piece. If the idea is sound, The Eagle Eye may work with the contributor to shape and produce the final published work.

Submissions & Editorial Process

Anyone may submit content. Submission does not guarantee publication.

All submissions are reviewed editorially. We may:

  • Edit for clarity, structure, tone, or accuracy
  • Make strong edits when the underlying point is valuable but the delivery is not
  • Return a submission with requested edits for contributor revision
  • Collaborate with contributors to strengthen a piece prior to publication

We value returning contributors and prefer long-term working relationships.

Editorial decisions are final.

Accuracy & Integrity

Factual claims should be grounded in reality. Sources are encouraged where available.
Plagiarism, deliberate falsehoods, or misrepresentation will not be published.

Quality Standards

Submissions should meet a basic standard of quality appropriate to their format.

For written content, this means:

  • Clear, readable text
  • Reasonable spelling and grammar
  • Basic adherence to standard writing conventions
  • A good-faith effort to proofread before submission
  • Common free spell-checkers, such as Grammarly, greatly increase your likelihood of acceptance

For video and audio content, this means:

  • Audio that is intelligible and free from excessive distortion or background noise
  • Video that is watchable and reasonably clear
  • Stable framing and adequate lighting, where applicable

Content does not need to be professionally produced, but it must be listenable, watchable, and coherent. Submissions that require excessive technical correction may be declined or returned for revision.

Opinion, Perspective, and Boundaries

The Eagle Eye operates within a conservative, Christian-influenced worldview.

  • Strong opinions are welcome
  • No profanity
  • Radically oppositional ideologies (such as overt Islamic advocacy or extreme liberalism) are not accepted, except in rare cases orchestrated by The Eagle Eye for evaluation, debate, interview, or analysis

Rights & Republishing

Contributors retain full rights to their work.

However:

  • The Eagle Eye must be the first publisher
    • Exception: This requirement does not apply if the content was first self-published solely by the author on platforms they personally own in their entirety (e.g., personal website/blog, Substack, personal X/other social media accounts, or personal company site).
      • It does not apply to content previously appearing in newspapers, magazines, major news sites, employer platforms, or any outlet where the author is not the sole owner or does not serve in a head editing, publishing, producing, or equivalent role.
  • Any republication must clearly state that the work was first published by The Eagle Eye
  • Online republication must include a direct link to the original article
  • Print republication must reference The Eagle Eye and, where possible, the website

Contributor Attribution & Support

Whenever possible, we aim to support contributors by:

  • Linking to their website, company, or primary social media presence
  • Providing clear author attribution
  • Maintaining an official contributor presence on the platform

Contributor Profiles

Contributors are encouraged to create a WordPress user profile with accurate biographical information and a Gravatar or profile image. This can be done by registering and logging in on theeagleye.net. (If problems occur, please email contact@theeagleye.net and we will be glad to help you.)

This is not required for one-time submissions, but it is strongly encouraged for recurring contributors and required for participation in The Eagle Eye’s regional contributor network and official contributors page. Profiles may be created on a contributor’s behalf if needed.
