“After several extensions, the Trump Administration has decided to appeal the federal court decision ordering EPA to address the risk posed by water fluoridation. EPA will be filing its appeal next Friday, July 18… The decision to appeal the court’s order was not made by the HHS or Secretary Kennedy. It was made by the Solicitor General of the Department of Justice, who reports to Pam Bondi and the White House.” —Michael Connett
As reported by the Fluoride Action Network, the U.S. Department of Justice, under Solicitor General authority—who reports to Attorney General Pam Bondi—, is appealing a 2024 federal court ruling that ordered the EPA to address the neurotoxicity of fluoridated water. Following repeated delays, the EPA—backed by the DOJ—will file its appeal in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on July 18.
The appeal was not initiated by Health and Human Services or Secretary Kennedy, who has adamantly supported ending fluoridation and announced forthcoming CDC guideline revisions.
Notably, in the movement to end water fluoridation, Florida and Utah have recently ended their fluoridation programs, aligning with the court ruling and diverging from federal resistance.
The Fluoride Action Network, which brought the lawsuit under the Toxic Substances Control Act, is preparing to continue the fight in appellate court.
This is a massive crisis to the health and safety of the American people. Fluoride has been continually proven to present a serious hazard and danger to people’s health. Notably, fluoride is acutely toxic. It has been used both a pesticide and rat poison. Many have claimed since World War II that the Nazis tested fluoride for mind-control purposes, adding it to water to sedate prisoners.
A 1990 study by the National Toxicology Program that fluoride has caused a rare form of bone cancer in male rats. A 2006 Harvard doctoral thesis by Elise Bassin found that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of six and eight had a significantly increased risk of developing osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) by young adulthood. These findings were supressed by her department chair, who had ties to pro-fluoride groups.
Many studies have found links between fluoride consumption and lowered IQ scores—especially during pregnancy, as a 2019 Canadstian study in JAMA Pediatrics found.
The CDC has also admitted that fluoride’s benefit is almost entirely topical, not systemic. Thus, continuing to add to to drinking water has no medical benefit whatsoever. This should raise significant concerns and suspicions. Why is fluoride still in the drinking water?
Also notably, fluoride remains the only (well-documented) instance in modern medicine where a drug is forcibly administered to entire populations without dosing or consent, and with no regard to age, health status, or existing fluoride exposure.
The list of harmful effects of fluoride would take numerous papers to document. This is the reason why we, the American people, must demand the answer: Why is fluoride not only not being removed from our water, but is being blocked from removal?
We must demand its removal for our health and survival.
