If you are a paid subscriber to The Eagle Eye (either the Briefing, Dispatch, or Strategic plan), you have additional perks in customizing your account.
Free accounts also have certain elements of their account they can customize (though, as of January 1, 2026, much of this remains private due to limitations in public settings of free accounts).
This tutorial will outline some of the customizations accounts can make
Brief Overview of Free Accounts
Creating a free account is not extremely straightforward, as they usually serve one of two purposes:
- Signing up for email updates

- Making a purchase that requires account information and becoming a Customer (an official account type)

- As of January 1, 2026, there are no other purposes for a free account, as everything is fully accessible to all visitors except for paid features (which require a paid account).
Creating a Paid Account/Subscribing
You can register for an account on two different pages.
The first is on the Subscribe page, which details the differences between the Briefing, Dispatch, and Strategic plans (all are constant work-in-progress).

The second is in the register page, which can be found in the My Account dropdown on the right side of the header, and leads you to a page to create your account. It will request your desired username, email, and password, and optionally (but recommended) your name. It will then request your plan and your payment details.

Once you create your account, check your inbox for an email detailing your account features and your discount codes for The Eagle Eye Store. Make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see the email. If you have issues with this, please email contact@theeagleye.net.
[Note: if the account features your plan offers are not working properly after signing in (in the login tab), please email contact@theeagleye.net]
Customizing Your Account
After registering for your plan and logging in via the Login tab, head to the Profile tab.

Here you should see your Profile Picture, Dashboard, Orders, Subscriptions, Store Credits, Downloads, Addresses, Payment methods, Account details, Communication, and Log out.

The first customization we recommend is changing your Avatar. To do this, simply select your profile image on the left side menu, enter the necessary account information, and then upload your desired image to Gravatar.

The second customization we recommend is editing your forum profile settings. The forum is one of the main perks of being a paid member, and your profile must be customized there through Gravatar and the bbPress (the forum plugin) settings.
At the bottom of the forums page, you will see “My Profile.” Click this link to go to your personal account.

This will lead you to a forum user profile page. This page will enable you to edit your Gravatar profile by clicking on your avatar and also view your activity on the forum.

Editing your Gravatar is a necessity on the forum. To do so, click on the avatar and then click on “View profile.”

Here you will see the Gravatar page. On your profile image in the top right corner, select “Edit your profile.”

From this page, you have many options on how you can edit your profile. You can edit your Display Name (it is recommended you choose the same username as your account on theeagleye.net), your color scheme, your header image, your bio, your social media accounts, your wallet, links, interests, photos, and more.

We will advise how to make the minimum recommended changes.
Firstly, we recommend changing your display name to match your The Eagle Eye username. Do so by clicking “About” on the sidebar, click “Personal” at the top of the sidebar, and then changing your display name under “Display Name.”
Secondly, we recommend adding some information in the “About Me” section. Other information in this tab is optional.
Make sure to click “Save Changes.”

Under “Professional” at the top of the left sidebar, you can add job information and connect your LinkedIn account. Under “Contact” at the top of the left sidebar, you can add your phone number, email, a contact form, and a calendar.
We also recommend considering adding your verified accounts, interests, and other information if you are interested.
These are the main customizations you can make on theeagleye.net. Thank you for subscribing and supporting the operation.
