Answering Leftist Tantrums

Is Trump really a fascist?

Trump is working to vest all governmental authority solely in the Executive Branch” -What you are seeing though is actually a Congress that has a Republican majority and is backing him, thus enabling him to accomplish his objectives. He has done nothing to “vest all governmental authority in the Executive”, and has not signified that he intends to. He is also unable to do this, Constitutionally, thus why the US has three branches of government. This is a gross lie by the leftists.

Trump’s numerous executive orders are designed to create chaos and weaken governmental authority” -Trump has only signed 45 EOs. By comparison, FDR, a praised president by the Democrats and many Republicans, signed 372 in his first year in office and signed 3,721 in his entirety of office (I admit he had four terms but still). Also, this claim says he is stripping power, which is not a fascist thing to do at all. Finally, “The courts can strike down an EO if it is deemed unconstitutional.”

Trump is firing all employees of the federal government that are not Trump loyalists” -That’s incorrect; Trump isn’t firing all federal employees who don’t support him. His administration is focusing on reclassifying certain positions to bypass some civil service protections, but this doesn’t mean all non-loyalist employees are being removed. This is more about policy alignment than a blanket dismissal. His goal is to essentially remove useless employees and/or useless jobs, as well as weeding out the deep state bureaucracy.

Trump is assigning unqualified personnel” -Who is unqualified? Of all of the claims I have heard, this is one of the most laughable. Every single person Trump has assigned is extensively qualified. This is either obstinate denial or just pure ignorance; perhaps both.

Trump is threatening to impose martial law on leftist protesters” -Essentially, there is little to no evidence for this claim. Accusations like this were made in Trump’s first term, specifically in reference to two scenarios. The first of those was to overturn the election, which did not happen. The second major case of this was directed at the protestors after George Floyd, but this was because of the destruction they were causing that needed to be shut down. This also is not technically directed at leftist protestors, but rather extreme civil unrest (or rather, rioters). Finally, no such policies or actions have been presented to pursue this, and we can logically continue to assume they will not be.

Trump is coercing legacy media into compliance” -Legacy media criticizes Trump without end. All of the time. That’s why so many no longer listen to them. Fox are RINOs, CNN, and other leftist MSM platforms are also wildly leftist. Even people the left likely loathes (such as Alex Jones and Glenn Beck, though they are not legacy media pundits) have criticized Trump for things in the past (his COVID-19 policies, for example). After the deep state launched on January 6, most of the legacy turned against Trump.

Trump is using propaganda TV networks, such as Fox, Newsmax, OAN, Breitbart, et cetera” -First off, Fox consists of numerous RINOs and moderates (at best). Period. They fired Tucker Carlson, one of their last good hosts, in 2023. I am lukewarm on Newsmax at this point as well. Nonetheless, how are these networks “his” propaganda? They have full autonomy. Just because many (such as OAN and Breitbart) fully support Trump both objectively and subjectively does not make them propaganda tools. And, at this point, should we bring up CNN and leftist news sources’ methods of propaganda and their blatant lies about the Biden administration (especially in light of recently revealed USAID funding)?

Trump is taking over social media, such as Meta and X” -He hasn’t taken over social media, other than his personal social media platform, Truth Social. Nobody on the right who has two brain cells trusts Meta. They screwed conservatives over endlessly. Also, Elon Musk ran X how he currently is long before he supported Trump.

Trump is taking over written news media” -Google anything about Trump. There is a ton of anti-Trump messaging out there, most of which browsers promote to the top of search results.

Nobody voted for Elon Musk” -Actually, anyone who voted for Trump did. Musk, just like Patel, Gabbard, Kennedy, and many others was going to be a part of the Trump administration. Every president appoints leaders. Elon Musk was also openly advertised as a part of the administration in some way while Trump was running for president. Therefore, anyone who voted for Trump knew or could know they were voting for an administration involving Elon Musk.
